From Passion to Purpose:
Creating a Hope for the Future

The group’s three core principles are

COMMUNITY OUTREACHES

The fund aims to offer opportunities to children who are in a desperate situation due to no fault of their own, from small and rudimentary orphanages that aren’t established under any proper corporate structures, and not receiving any government or corporate support. Over the years, aside from supporting orphanages, the ABN trust has also secured safe transport and established a daycare centre and a soup kitchen.
TERTIARY EDUCATION & BURSARIES

The trust is dedicated to advancing the future of African education, especially for young female students. Over the past 13 years, the trust has provided bursaries to over 30 students to complete their studies. Similar bursaries have been provided to students in Ghana and Rwanda.
INTERNSHIPS

Another core focus of the trust is to give young Africans invaluable work experience that will provide them with the necessary skills to enter the formal workforce. To date, over 300 internships have been given by the ABN Group through various group companies.
OTHER PARTNERSHIPS

In addition to the core activities, the trust participates in various other projects together with the Transnational Academic Group (TAG), providing students across emerging markets access to top-ranked post-secondary and executive education, through bursaries, scholarships, and fee discounts since 2008, totalling over 100 million rand. Tag Ghana founded the Tag Education Trust to support the education and development of beneficiaries of the foundation in Ghana as well as orphanages such as Rising Star Home.
